As President and CEO, Hal is committed to Skystone being the Energy Industry's leading provider of Integrity Management, Inspection Services and Emergency Planning. Hal has over 35 years of experience in consulting engineering, power generation and technology development. He is the former CEO of Golder Associates and Verdant Energy. Hal is an active investor in private service and technology companies. In addition to Skystone he is also a Director of Sulphur Experts Inc. and Lorneville Mechanical Contractors Ltd.
Frank is currently responsible for the technical excellence of all engineering and field services within Skystone, in addition to overseeing incident investigations, root cause failures and providing litigation support.
Frank brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to his role at Skystone. Frank has over 26 years of experience in corrosion, materials, inspection, quality assurance and water treatment, including positions as Chief Engineer at the National Energy Board and 13 years at Imperial Oil in research, chief inspector and engineering roles. Frank has authored and published numerous technical papers and also has led or participated in standard writing committees within NACE, ASM, ISO, CSA and ABSA.
Mark has over 15 years of experience in cathodic protection, is a member of ASET and has NACE CP Level 3 certification. Mark is responsible for planning, budgeting, coordinating and managing all aspects of cathodic protection work. Mark spent approximately half of his career maintaining the cathodic protections systems on the gas distribution and transmission systems for FortisBC (Formally B.C. Gas & Terasen Gas). Mark was part of FortisBC’s ongoing CP program.
As Regional Office Manager, Marty is responsible for developing and implementing the Regional Office strategy.
Marty brings over 25 years of managerial experience to his role at Skystone. His previous experience includes 7 years with Abacus Datagraphics (Central Alberta Manager) 8 years with Paramount Emergency Planners (Manager, Field Services) and 6 years with First Response Emergency Services (Vice President, Mapping and Field Services). Marty has extensive experience in working with clients, reviewing proposed projects, identifying the scope of work and associated costs.
Marty has over 20 years experience related to the development of fit for purpose Emergency Response Plans.
Arash has a doctorate in Materials Science and Engineering and has assisted many organizations in the development of their pipeline and pressure equipment integrity management programs. This includes prescriptive programs such as ABSA integrity programs and goal-oriented or leading-edge integrity programs such as those allowed by BCSA. Arash has developed pipeline integrity programs for many upstream companies in Alberta, British Columbia and Saskatchewan. He has also conducted numerous pipelines and pressure equipment audits.
A former University professor of Physics, Alex has a solid background which assures successful solving of
various technical problems. His area of expertise includes Failure Analysis, X-Ray Diffraction, Mechanical Testing, Corrosion Testing and Evaluation, Fracture Mechanics, Finite Element Analysis, Fitness-for-Service assessment, and Expert Witnessing for Litigation. Alex has over 18 years of experience in failure analysis of oilfield equipment and successfully solved more than 1000 cases and fitness-for-service assessments of various complexity.
