We are currently seeking a Chief Inspector /Pressure Equipment Integrity Manager to join and contribute to our Asset Integrity Services team. This is a full-time permanent position reporting to the Team Lead, Asset Integrity Services and will be based at our Edmonton Office.


This is a senior level position and will have a suite of responsibilities including technical activities, project management and client/customer service. There will be opportunities to take initiative and help to grow the department, as well as demonstrate leadership abilities and provide mentorship junior staff. We are looking for an individual who is innovative, self-driven, autonomous, and customer service oriented, as well as has both exception technical and leadership skills.

Client/Project Management Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients; foster and expand on new opportunities with existing clients
  • Assist clients with developing Integrity Management Programs for Pressure Equipment and/or Pipelines
  • Act in project management capacity to ensure project deliverables are met
  • Manage projects proactively; anticipate client needs; resolve issues as they arise
  • Update work plans and budgets on a timely basis
  • Undertake resource and activity planning for projects
  • Work cross functionally with other Skystone business lines to optimize service offering to clients
Technical Responsibilities:
  • Act as Chief Inspector
  • Act as integrity program auditor
  • Liaise with regulatory bodies in BC, AB, and SK
  • Develop annual programs, ensuring it addresses client needs
  • Develop program scope, scheduled and budgets
  • Develop service agreements and contracts for project execution
  • Manage, track and analyze client projects
  • Manage and participate in regular client meetings
  • Work closely with the Data Management team for reporting, planning etc.
  • Define and participate in corporate and field level integrity training programs
  • Provide senior level review of inspection programs implemented by Skystone
  • Deploy experience with RBI in defining and implementing RBI client programs
  • Ensure project deliverables meet Skystone’s criteria for product quality
  • Assist with onboarding, training and mentoring of new and junior staff
  • Inspect field assets, when required
  • Act as a Senior Inspector, as needed

  • Proven problem analysis and problem solving abilities
  • Ability to be adaptable and flexible while working in a face-paced environment
  • Knowledge of pipeline and/or pressure vessel integrity management systems and procedures
Required Education and Experience
  • Working knowledge of BC and its ASA, AB and SK regulations with regard to pressure equipment
  • 10 + years’ experience
  • Program Management experience
  • Relevant post-secondary education (Engineering Degree/Diploma/Certificate)
  • API certifications
  • ABSA Certification
  • Legally eligible to work in Canada
Preferred Knowledge and Skills
  • Degree in Engineering is preferred but is not required
  • Preference will be given to those with experience directly related to Integrity Services in the Oil & Gas industry
  • PMP or project management equivalent would be considered an asset
