We are currently seeking NDT/API Inspectors to support our Inspection services team. This is a full-time position and will report to the Manager, NDT & Inspection. We have positions available in both Edmonton and Grande Prairie. We are seeking an individual with a mature and positive attitude, strong leadership skills, high attention to detail, and proven ability to work effectively as part of a team, as well as someone who is highly customer service oriented and holds safety as a high priority.

 

Note: Local candidates preferred, but will consider relocation

 


  • Conduct code inspection of clients’ new and existing equipment
  • Support the design, planning and creation of inspection plans
  • Complete field inspections as required
  • Complete and approve all manner of required service, repair and inspection, reports and clarifications
  • Calibration & Set Up of UT Thickness Scope
  • Performing UT corrosion surveys
  • Writing Field Inspection & Activity Reports
  • Collaborate and coordinate with other asset integrity staff to implement facilities and inspection programs
  • Work with data management team to complete reporting and documentation
  • Interact with clients in a positive and professional manner

  • The ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Required Education and Experience
  • 2- 5 (+) years’ experience in pressure equipment inspection, or related industry experience
  • API 510 and API 570 or 653
  • CGSB UT Level 1
  • Familiarity and understanding of: In-service inspection in petrochemical, refining or upgrading industry; upstream oil and gas industry; API and ASME codes and standards; regulatory and compliance requirements from ABSA, BCSA, and TSASK
  • High school diploma
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite of programs
  • Valid driver’s license, clean driving record
  • Able to work in various temperature and climate conditions
  • Travel for multiple days at a time may be required (>70%)
  • Legally eligible to work in Canada
Preferred Knowledge and Skills
  • National Board Commission or Alberta In-service certification
  • Certification by ABSA as an IPVI or IBPVI
  • Knowledge of process and quality management systems
  • Working knowledge of database programs and systems
