Skystone Hosts Gazprom Managers for Training Session

July 2010

Skystone Engineering successfully completed a Pipeline Integrity Management training course for a group of top managers from the Russian energy company Gazprom.

Subjects discussed during the training session included regional and central regulators, integrated solutions, learning from failures, cathodic protection, case histories, sour service conversions and codes specifically relevant to upstream gathering systems.

“Gazprom was excited to learn from our experiences because they view Canada as a leading nation for pipeline integrity management,” said Frank Gareau, Skystone VP of Technical Services. “High interest topics included non-metallic pipeline solutions, testing for microbiologically influenced corrosion and cathodic protection.”
